this lovely stationery set was commissioned by my dear friend, andie. i'm kind of obsessed. she has a great eye for design and a love for all things french. 

the weekend itinerary for your best gal's bachelorette party

why the bachelorette weekend itinerary? the party planners already know who is going, who is on the fence -- but this mailed piece gives the guests an idea of what's in store for the big weekend.

these weekends take so much planning and commitment by everyone attending, so the bridesmaids usually know who is 'in' or 'out' far in advance. and suddenly, a generic invitation becomes a bit arbitrary. 

...but there's still so many details to communicate to the guests and an email can be a little lack-luster. the bachelorette itinerary is an easy way way to get the guests excited and convince those on-the-fencers that the weekend is not to be missed!

sparkly surprise bridal luncheon invite

i forgot to post these! and i promise it's the last installment of andie's wedding paper :) 

the day before she got married her mother's best friend threw a fantastic bridal luncheon for andie & her ladies. andie was sweet enough to recommend me to make the invitations. we went with girly & light to reflect the relaxed luncheon.. and of course, had to add some metallics. 

i stashed some gold sequins in each envelope for a little sparkly surprise.

modern baby shower - pink, poppy & turquiose

ohhh i love me some baby girls, baby girl. i pretty much got free reign on the project, with guidelines to use turquoise, poppy & pink (a fab color combo, if you ask me) and to make it kinda funky and girly.

it's been extra special because i've gotten to know the mom-to-be a lot better throughout her pregnancy and i'm anxiously awaiting her arrival! she's got some pretty awesome parents.

.. and just a side note - this shower was amazing. my friend andie threw it and made it EVERYTHING a couples shower should be. there was football for guys, crafts for gals (a onesie-making table), amazing cocktails, enough food to feed an army. and of course, i didn't take any pics at the actual shower because i was having too much fun. but this photo can give you an idea of the cuteness.

happy february ( + january re-cap)

it's feb, you guys. that means celebrating my husband's birthday, my mother and father's birthday and valentine's day. which means LOTS of cards to make. I don't mind.

gone are the days where we decorated a shoe box to receive valentine's from our class mates, but i think it's still a fun tradition to keep among close friends & family.

i've been working on my valentine's this week. if you follow me on instagram, you may have seen a little peek of what i've been working on. i'll share it in due time.

for now, ill leave you with my purple ( + tiny orange heart) nails to brighten up these winter days.

the cream event - austin, texas

some of the amazing goodies we got in our swag bag from the cream event in austin. holy cow -- this was SO MUCH FUN. i went with my friend andie who is a bride-to-be and two other girls, amanda and brandi who, like me, were going for fun and inspiration.

ombre dip dye - hibiscus

played with some dried hibiscus we got at the airline market... 1 pound for $3.99 = awesome! I boiled it for awhile to get the color out and used it as a fabric dye...


working with an old white polo, going for an ombre thing...


oops.. it fell in. no going back!


the warm tones washed out leaving cool purple... not how i wanted it to turn out, but will definitely play with it again sometime.


murphy's law: you will get dye on your white pants. thank goodness for bleach :)


and mister brought home some pretty pink peonies, just cause. awww shucks.

so now that our wedding is out of the way, my dad got married. here's some stationery i made for his wife using her wedding colors...

gorgeous eggs - naturally candy colored

prettiest eggs ever. these eggs are totally naturally colored and are produced by aracuana chickens from a farm in belleville, texas.

well i feel like the luckiest girl ever-- had to buy these gorgeous flowers for a commercial shoot at work and i got to take them home. i've got enough tulips, tuberoses, ranuncylous, hydrangeas to fill up five vases! the orange ranunculus is my favorite.
